After a series of digital pitching sessions in front of a jury composed of entrepreneurs, investors and other start-up experts, 10 ICT and 5 space start-ups received the good news that they have been selected for participation in the 11th edition of Fit 4 Start, Luxembourg’s flagship accelerator programme. They were selected among a total of 255 applications received from start-ups in 35 countries.
The selected start-ups will benefit from the specialised coaching as well as €50,000 of funding from the Ministry of the Economy each, with the possibility of receiving an additional €100,000 if they graduate successfully from the programme and manage to raise some private capital. For this edition, the programme has been extended to cover six months instead of previously four.
Fit 4 Start is an acceleration programme dedicated to innovative, tech- and data-driven startups operating in the fields of Information and communications technologies, Space and Health technologies. The programme was initiated by the Luxembourg Ministry of Economy and is managed by Luxinnovation (Luxembourg Innovation Agency).
During the programme, the selected startups will attend both individual coaching sessions based on the lean startup methodology as well as expert sessions on specific matters relevant to the whole cohort. The ultimate objective of the programme is to make its participants ready for customers and investors. The coaches support the startups in refining their value proposition, developing a strong business model and becoming customer-centric. Moreover, the coaches and all other stakeholders open their network to the startups and initiate valuable business opportunities. The participants are to present their progress and achievements in monthly steering committees to the jury members that initially selected the startups to the programme. The same jury takes the graduation decision at the end of the 6 months. The Fit 4 Start programme takes place at Luxinnovation, Technoport and the House of BioHealth.
